Times of change
On 29th January we celebrated the long service that John & Hilary have given to the Lord in pastoring Celebration Church. At the end of December John officially stood down as Pastor after 23 years of faithful service.
Many friends, old and new, gathered to honour both John and Hilary, with testimonials from Jason (Griffiths) and Dawn, a video greeting from Graham Culver and a message from Dr Annang. After Dawn presented John and Hilary with a gift and flowers, the leadership prayed for them as they enter into retirement and Dr Annang brought a Word from the Lord (which can be read here). To close the service, the leadership team and new Pastor Andy King were prayed for.
Afterwards everyone enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea and a good old catch up! Here’s a photo record of what was a wonderful occasion.
