Foundations and Fulfilments (3)

Welcome to the recordings from today’s service, where we looked again into some of the foundational passages and promises that serve as foreshadows of the fulfilments to come when the Lord returns in glory.

We also continued in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem and all Israel, and for the hostages still held in Gaza. Please also continue to hold in prayer the family of the American missionaries killed in Haiti this last week. Thank you.

Maranatha.

Service introduction:

Psalm 48:1-3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised
In the city of our God, In His holy mountain.
Beautiful in [elevation, The joy of the whole earth,
Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King.
God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge.

Revelation 21:1-6 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

Foundations and Fulfilments (3), Andy King, 26th May 2024:

Deut.33:1-5 Now this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said:

“The Lord came from Sinai, And dawned on them from Seir;
He shone forth from Mount Paran,
And He came with ten thousands of saints;
From His right hand Came a fiery law for them.
Yes, He loves the people;
All His saints are in Your hand;
They sit down at Your feet;
Everyone receives Your words.
Moses commanded a law for us,
A heritage of the congregation of Jacob.
And He was King in Jeshurun,
When the leaders of the people were gathered,
All the tribes of Israel together.

Deut.33:26-29 “There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,
Who rides the heavens to help you,
And in His excellency on the clouds.
27 The eternal God is your refuge,
And underneath are the everlasting arms;
He will thrust out the enemy from before you,
And will say, ‘Destroy!’
28 Then Israel shall dwell in safety,
The fountain of Jacob alone,
In a land of grain and new wine;
His heavens shall also drop dew.
29 Happy are you, O Israel!
Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord,
The shield of your help
And the sword of your majesty!
Your enemies shall submit to you,
And you shall tread down their high places.”
