The Promised Land – Introduction

Posted on

Welcome

Good evening.  God is good and His mercy endures forever!

The first audio link below is the introduction by Dawn, followed by testimonies from Alan and Keith. The second link is today’s message, a short introduction to a series on the Promised Land.

Firstly, here are today’s worship videos – Salvation Belongs to our God by Paul Wilbur (another recent video repeated to help us learn it), and Jesus Name above all Names, the song we shared in the Breaking of Bread this morning.

May the Lord bless you richly! Andy. Read the rest of this entry »

Galatians 4

Posted on Updated on

Welcome

Good evening. The Lord continues to bless us in our restarted Sunday services despite the restrictions churches have to operate under at the moment.

John brought the Word to us today, from Galatians 4, and we had two testimonies from Tony (friend of Jeff and Margaret) and Steve. Both of those recordings are below. Firstly, there are a couple of worship videos, Ron Kenoly singing I will come and bow down, a song I shared this morning in our time of thanksgiving, and secondly, another recent video repeated to help us learn it – Graham Kendrick’s Holy Overshadowing.

God bless you,

Andy. Read the rest of this entry »

Spiritual Patience (God’s Waiting Room)

Welcome

Good evening. This morning’s service was our second service following the lockdown and we were very blessed to be able to meet together to share, to worship the Lord and hear His Word ministered. Below are the audios of two testimonies, from Nathan and Ruth, and from the ministry of the Word by Rob.

Before that, as is our custom now, is a worship video. Again it’s a song we’ve featured previously, repeated here as it’s another song we want to incorporate into our worship times in the near (dv) future.

The Lord bless you,

Andy. Read the rest of this entry »

Church Restart

Posted on Updated on

WelcomeGood evening. This morning we held our first service since the lockdown began in March, and it was wonderful being able to gather as a congregation again, albeit only in part. Despite the restrictions on numbers able to gather and not being able to have congregational singing, we enjoyed fellowship, sharing and communion together.

Below is a recording of thoughts from John and myself. I will post a recording of other testimonies on the Celebration Social Whatsapp group. Firstly, here is a video of Paul Wilbur, I Enter the Holy of Holies.

God bless, Andy.

Thoughts from John and Andy:

We started the service by declaring the goodness of the Lord by reading Psalm 103:

Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.
The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
And its place remembers it no more.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
18 To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

19 The Lord has established His throne in heaven,
And His kingdom rules over all.

20 Bless the Lord, you His angels,
Who excel in strength, who do His word,
Heeding the voice of His word.
21 Bless the Lord, all you His hosts,
You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.
22 Bless the Lord, all His works,
In all places of His dominion.

Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Daniel 11:2-12:4

Posted on Updated on

WelcomeGood morning and welcome to our online video and message for this week. Today we have Dr Annang continuing his excellent study of the book of Daniel, and before that there is another double bill of video of songs that we have featured recently, that we will be looking to sing congregationally whenever we will be permitted to actually sing together again.

That brings me on to the regulations for recommencing our services. We are still planning to restart our Sunday service next weekend (12th July), providing there is no local lockdown imposed on our area, as Leicester has had this week. I will be posting another page on this website in the next few days regarding the practicalities and arrangements of attending. It certainly won’t be church as normal, as the regulations prevent us from singing, for example, but nonetheless it will be a start of our meeting together again, dv.

God bless, Andy. Read the rest of this entry »

The Power and Presence of God

Posted on Updated on

Welcome

Good morning and welcome to our online service today. Following an open-air meeting of the leadership last Wednesday I have recorded a statement of where we are in term of planning to return to meeting together on a Sunday morning. We decided to recommence on 12th July, but this will involve quite a few restrictions, as I mention in the statement, which follows here:

Hold on Tight

Good morning and Happy Father’s Day! Welcome

Regarding the lockdown, it’s good the hear the Government has decided to move from Phase 4 to Phase 3 and to further ease restrictions in the coming days. Those easings I think mean we can finally discuss, at least, our options for starting to meet together in some way. And I will be in touch with Foresight, the company that owns and runs our meeting place, to understand their stance on usage of the building. Read the rest of this entry »

Seeing Things Differently

Posted on Updated on

WelcomeGood morning. As per Hebrews 10:24-25, even though we are still unable to meet together as a congregation due to Government restrictions,  we can continue to encourage each other, to ‘consider how to stir one another to love and good works’. And we continue to hope that in July we will be able to meet up together again. DV!

This morning’s message is taken from Colossians 3:1-4, but first here is a worship video from CityAlight, Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me.

God bless, Andy. Read the rest of this entry »

Faith Without Works is Dead

Posted on Updated on

WelcomeGood morning. When I arranged for Ivan to speak today, and indeed Matt to speak two weeks ago, I little imagined we would still be unable to physically meet together as a church. It’s a great sadness that we still are not permitted to meet together, but it is my hope that as things continue to improve the restrictions will be eased in July enough for us to be able to recommence services in some way. We will be keeping a close eye on developments.

It’s a great pleasure to have Ivan bringing God’s Word to us today, I’m certain it will be a blessing. Before that here is a worship video from The Mandate led by Robin Mark, Amazing Love.

God bless you, Andy. Read the rest of this entry »

The Power of Pentecost

Posted on Updated on

Welcome

Good morning! We are in the Feast of Weeks, the celebration of the Day of Pentecost, the pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the church. Today we will look into God’s Word regarding these events, and at what the Lord has for us in our day and generation. Read the rest of this entry »
