The Power of the Resurrection!
Jesus’ resurrection changed everything! For those who loved Him and followed Him, it brought hope and transformation to their shattered dreams. It brought renewal, restoration and revolution! It changed the world then, and it changes the world now. And when we have the revelation of Jesus’s resurrection, it will change our lives too!

Putting God’s Kingdom first
When we put God’s Kingdom and His righteousness first in our priorities and choices, we will be blessed! This is the message from January 21st (message begins at 2.30 mins).
Matthew 6:31-33:
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Behold I will do a new thing
God wants to do a new thing in our lives! He wants to make a way where there presently isn’t a way forward. He calls us to prepare the way, to remove the obstacles and ‘unkink the hosepipe’, so to speak, so His glory can flow through us. To enable that to happen, we must ‘seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness.

Look Up

This week I read a cluster of news articles that could have been taken directly from the plot of my 2012 end-times novel, Seventy Weeks. These were not the main headlines most of us will have seen – the missile firing of North Korea nor the latest terrorist atrocity on the London Tube. No, these were a little more disguised but seriously relevant, nonetheless.
I mention them because, as Christians, we need to be aware of what is going in our world today. These things are road-signs as to where we are and where we are heading.
Following the launch this week of Apple’s iPhone 8 smartphone, which is able to identify the user using the latest facial recognition technology , the Daily Telegraph ran this piece about the benefits of ‘Big Data’. However, it included the following significant comment:
“We are now only a few years away from the day when facial recognition technology will be sufficiently advanced that, whenever we walk down a street, networks of CCTV cameras, public as well as private, will immediately recognise us. Databases of people’s faces will be created and used for commercial as well as law and order purposes.”

The related timings of the births of Jesus and John the Baptist
It is not specifically stated in the Bible when Jesus was born. However, the indications from Scripture give us a pretty good guide of when He was born, and importantly, when He was not born. We are given clues in the details concerning the priestly service of John the Baptist’s father, Zechariah, and the fact that Jesus and John were cousins.
Zechariah, was of the priestly division of Abijah (Luke 1:5,8). Back in King David’s day, the priests had been separated into 24 turns or divisions. These turns began in the first month of the Jewish calendar (1 Chronicles 27:2), March or April of our modern calendar. According to Talmudic and Qumran sources, the turns rotated every week until they reached the end of the sixth month, when the cycle was repeated again until the end of the year. This would mean that Zechariah’s division served at the temple twice a year.

God’s Amazing Autumnal Celebrations
God clearly describes the feasts, set in the yearly calendar of Israel in Leviticus 23, as His feasts, His celebrations. They are special events full of significance. They are called holy convocations, in Hebrew “miqra”, which also means rehearsals.
By instituting the feasts, God was painting a picture of the various prophetic milestones of His entire plan of salvation! And by rehearsing them every year throughout the yearly calendar, His people would be able to recognise the fulfilments when they occurred as being the work of God. Jesus said all things from the Law and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled concerning Him, Luke 24:44.

Prophetic warning for Britain

With the approaching EU referendum, it’s important for us to pray into how the Lord would have us vote and to seek His face on this hugely important event. I came across the following prophecy on the Christian Friends of Israel website and also on The Truth of Judgement Day website. I quote from the latter sites introduction:
“These prophetic words are very timely with our EU referendum approaching! We are convinced we are in the last day and that God’s wrath is going to be poured out on an unbelieving and rebellious world – this is not scare tactics, only a sober reality. The EU could play a leading part in the end-time script and we need to determine whether we want to be part of a union that will almost certainly act against Israel. If/when this happens all member nations will be culpable for standing against God’s chosen land. Whatever your view on this prophecy, find out more about the EU and pray for God’s guidance with the future choices we will make.” Read the rest of this entry »
