The Story of Redemption

Welcome to the recordings from today’s service. We began to look at the foundational Scriptures concerning the whole story of Redemption. Before that are two worship videos. Have a great week. Maranatha.

Service intro, Matt:

Foundations and Fulfilments (1), Andy King, 5th May 2024:

2 Cor.1:19-20

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

Timeline from Biblical chronology of dates after creation:

These charts show some very interesting overlaps. For instance, Noah’s father Lamech was born 46 years before Adam died, and it’s very possible there would be word-of-mouth testimony passed on to Noah. Also, Abraham was born 58 years before Noah died, and a full 110 years before Shem, Noah’s son, died. We have no way of knowing whether there was any connection or contact between these historicals figure, but it’s possible there was a very credible testimony passed on to Abraham concerning the creation and the flood. And God’s promises concerning redemption commence with Adam in Gen.3:15, continue through Noah after the flood, and take on new dimensions and detail in Abraham.

(The dates given are After Creation, AC).
