Moses and Elijah
The Life and Times of Elijah and Elisha (part 1)

Good morning and welcome to today’s ministry. Sadly we are not meeting together in person today due to the high numbers of infections prevalent, but God willing we will be meeting back together in person next Sunday morning.
Instead there follows a recorded message from Andy from 1Kings 17, and before that a worship video of Karen Davis’s beautiful song from Psalm 90, From Everlasting to Everlasting. May the Lord bless you!
The Life and Times of Elijah and Elisha (part 1) by Andy King
Psalm 90:1-2 Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth,
Or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
1Kings 17: 1-7 And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”
2 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 3 “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. 4 And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
5 So he went and did according to the word of the Lord, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook. 7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand. Psalm 31:14-15
