Church Restart
Good evening. This morning we held our first service since the lockdown began in March, and it was wonderful being able to gather as a congregation again, albeit only in part. Despite the restrictions on numbers able to gather and not being able to have congregational singing, we enjoyed fellowship, sharing and communion together.

Thoughts from John and Andy:
We started the service by declaring the goodness of the Lord by reading Psalm 103:
Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.
8 The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
9 He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,

Daniel 11:2-12:4
Good morning and welcome to our online video and message for this week. Today we have Dr Annang continuing his excellent study of the book of Daniel, and before that there is another double bill of video of songs that we have featured recently, that we will be looking to sing congregationally whenever we will be permitted to actually sing together again.
That brings me on to the regulations for recommencing our services. We are still planning to restart our Sunday service next weekend (12th July), providing there is no local lockdown imposed on our area, as Leicester has had this week. I will be posting another page on this website in the next few days regarding the practicalities and arrangements of attending. It certainly won’t be church as normal, as the regulations prevent us from singing, for example, but nonetheless it will be a start of our meeting together again, dv.

The Power and Presence of God
Good morning and welcome to our online service today. Following an open-air meeting of the leadership last Wednesday I have recorded a statement of where we are in term of planning to return to meeting together on a Sunday morning. We decided to recommence on 12th July, but this will involve quite a few restrictions, as I mention in the statement, which follows here:

Good morning and Happy Father’s Day! 
Regarding the lockdown, it’s good the hear the Government has decided to move from Phase 4 to Phase 3 and to further ease restrictions in the coming days. Those easings I think mean we can finally discuss, at least, our options for starting to meet together in some way. And I will be in touch with Foresight, the company that owns and runs our meeting place, to understand their stance on usage of the building. Read the rest of this entry »
Seeing Things Differently
Good morning. As per Hebrews 10:24-25, even though we are still unable to meet together as a congregation due to Government restrictions, we can continue to encourage each other, to ‘consider how to stir one another to love and good works’. And we continue to hope that in July we will be able to meet up together again. DV!

Faith Without Works is Dead
Good morning. When I arranged for Ivan to speak today, and indeed Matt to speak two weeks ago, I little imagined we would still be unable to physically meet together as a church. It’s a great sadness that we still are not permitted to meet together, but it is my hope that as things continue to improve the restrictions will be eased in July enough for us to be able to recommence services in some way. We will be keeping a close eye on developments.
It’s a great pleasure to have Ivan bringing God’s Word to us today, I’m certain it will be a blessing. Before that here is a worship video from The Mandate led by Robin Mark, Amazing Love.

Good morning. Despite all the difficulties of life in lockdown Britain we can thank God for all His goodness towards us. The risen Lord has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Praise God for that!

The Significance of the Ascension
Good morning! Thankfully we are seeing the begnnings of the easing of the lockdown, and hopefully we can begin to look forward to recommencing our services sometime soon. However, that still may not be until July, another six weeks away. So until then let us continue to encourage and stay in touch with one another, looking how we may help where help may be needed.
This week, on Thursday, is Ascension Day, forty days since Resurrection Sunday. So in our message below we are looking at the significance of that event. Firstly, we have a praise video from Jerusalem, ‘Great is the Lord’, with Paul Wilbur and Sarah Lieberman (the Hebrew sections are repeated in English). It’s a very joyful song, and one that reflects the victory of the Ascension, the event that concluded Jesus’ earthly ministry and set the pattern for His return.
