Need for endurance

Jesus, Fulfilment and Endurance

Posted on

Welcome to the recording from yesterday’s service, where we looked at the faithfulness of Jesus in fulfilling His Father’s will for His earthly life, His endurance in doing so and what that means for us. Before that are two worship videos, Beautiful Saviour and Be Thou My Vision. Bless you.

Jesus, Fulfilment and Endurance, Andy King, 26th March 2023:

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Luke 9:51 Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem…

Strength for the Day, Andy King, 27 February 2022.

In these days of shaking and trial we need the Lord’s strength to endure and to be the people He is able to use for His glory. Today’s message from Andy looks at practical ways to help us in this. Before that are the customary worship videos, All Glory by Tim Hughes and a modern version of the classic hymn Nothing but the Blood.

The Shaking to Come and Our Need for Endurance

Posted on Updated on

Welcome to the recording from today’s service. It picks up from last week’s message, brings that to a conclusion, and leads into today’s message. Firstly there is a worship video, Paul Wilbur’s version of the Robin Mark classic, Days of Elijah.

Today’s message: The Shaking to Come and Our Need of Endurance, Andy King, 10 October 2021:

Haggai 2:6 “For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 2:17 The loftiness of man shall be bowed down,
And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low;
The Lord alone will be exalted in that day, 18 But the idols He shall utterly abolish.

19 They shall go into the holes of the rocks, And into the caves of the earth,
From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty,
When He arises to shake the earth mightily.

Hebrews 10:35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

37 “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”
