Standing strong

Stand Strong!

Welcome to the recording from Sunday 3rd October’s service. The short message is something of an introduction to next week’s message. We need to be able to stand strong as we see the Day of the Lord approaching. Before that is a video from Graham Kendrick, Praise Him Moon and Stars. The Lord bless you!

Stand Strong!

Jeremiah 17:7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not [c]fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

Good afternoon and welcome to the recording from this morning’s service. We started today by referencing a tweet shared by Franklin Graham, and sharing how, despite the narrative of fear in our country at present, the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but love, power and a sound mind, 2Timothy 1:7. In these times, Corrie Ten Boom is someone we can look at and learn lessons from.

Today we heard from Matt Petley on the history and work of New Tribes Mission, based near us at North Cotes, and testimonies from Matt and Nathan & Maria. Matt also shared regarding the lessons we can draw from Daniel 3.

Before that, here are two worship videos, the first from Paul Balouche, Praise is Rising, and the second from Robin Mark, Be unto Your Name.

Bless you, Andy.

Here is the message from today. There is a presentation that goes along with the message. We are at present unable to host the presentation on the website but if you would like a copy, please email to request one.

Daniel 3: 1-6:  Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was [a]sixty cubits and its width six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. And King Nebuchadnezzar sent word to gather together the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. So the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered together for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Then a herald cried [b]aloud: “To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.”

Standing Strong in the Lord

Good morning and welcome again to our online worship videos and message. Today’s message is brought to us by Matt Petley.

With the end of the national lockdown on December 2nd, places of worship are allowed to reopen for communal worship so we will be resuming our services next Sunday December 6th. This will be a communion service, and we will be making our food donations (and toys for Christmas) for the local charities.

For today, before Matt’s message, here are two praise and worship videos, the first from Paul Wilbur, Praise Adonai (Praise the Lord), and secondly the official video of Revelation Song by Kari Jobe.

Every blessing, Andy.
