Here are some brief and basic notes from this morning’s look at the case for Creation. The CD recording of both Glen and Steve’s testimonies, and the short message I brought, will be available next Sunday.
We declare God is the Creator!! Hebs.11:3, Psalm 8 & Psalm 19. All the beautiful portrayals of Creation (such as Blue Planet) should give glory to the Creator, instead they rob Him of His glory by attributing the wonders of creation to a false god, the god of evolution (evolution requires faith to believe it!). Evolution is not provable, it is only a theory, yet it is consistently presented as fact in the media. The Biblical description of history (Creation, the Flood) clearly provide an alternative, credible account for how things are as they are.
There are many resources available on a wide variety of subjects, such as the flood, dinosaurs, carbon dating, fossils, millions of years etc, on the Answers in Genesis website.
With the approaching EU referendum, it’s important for us to pray into how the Lord would have us vote and to seek His face on this hugely important event. I came across the following prophecy on the Christian Friends of Israel website and also on The Truth of Judgement Day website. I quote from the latter sites introduction:
“These prophetic words are very timely with our EU referendum approaching! We are convinced we are in the last day and that God’s wrath is going to be poured out on an unbelieving and rebellious world – this is not scare tactics, only a sober reality. The EU could play a leading part in the end-time script and we need to determine whether we want to be part of a union that will almost certainly act against Israel. If/when this happens all member nations will be culpable for standing against God’s chosen land. Whatever your view on this prophecy, find out more about the EU and pray for God’s guidance with the future choices we will make.” Read the rest of this entry »
In 1984, the rock/pop band The Police won Grammy Awards for the song “Every Breath You take”. It’s a great song and is considered to be one of their best. It’s a song about intrusive, complete surveillance…”every breath you take, every move you make, I’ll be watching you.” How appropriate the awards were won in 1984. That’s the title of George Orwell’s classic book about a future totalitarian regime that knows and records everything you do and even what you think. “Nineteen Eighty-Four” is where we get now ubiquitous terms like Big Brother, the thought-police and newspeak from.
